Competitor Client Package

  • This is for the person who is wanting to compete in figure, or bodybuilding competitions (novice, provincial, national, world qualifier events)
  • Ryan and I train these clients together. I do the diet and training programs and follow/track your progress. Ryan sets up the supplement cycles to mesh with your diet/training programs
  • I will give you an individualized diet plan
  • I will set you up on an individualized exercise program including first time personal training session (when available)
  • I like to do your initial weigh in, girth measurements, body fat assessment and before pictures to get started. This might not be possible for rural clients. In this case I will request you to send me a current pic (front/side/back views – girls wear 2 pc bathing suit or posing suit, and guys wear shorts or posing suit)
  • We will provide assistance with all aspects of competition preparation (posing, choreography, posing suits, dyes, registration etc)
  • 24 hrs e-mail access for tracking any questions or concerns along the way
  • In the off season you will email me every Sat (weigh in, comments re: commitment to the diet, commitment to the gym, what you’ve noticed about your body/strength levels/endurance etc, any comments pertaining to cravings, energy, mood, sleeps. Updates if you are traveling or will be away. Better for me to have too much information than not enough.
  • In the off season I expect your commitment to the diet plan I outline for you to be approximately 80%. This means that if you attend a social function on Wed night, that you don’t have to pack your container of food.
  • At 20 weeks all clients are considered to be in contest prep mode. I will expect you to email me every Wed and Sat am. I now expect the commitment to the diet to be 100%. This means if you have a social function to attend on Wed night that you are now packing your container of food. You do not miss a meal. You do not stray from the diet. The diet plan will account for 85% of your success or failure in this sport.


Our beliefs pertaining to contest prep

  • We strongly discourage the use of steroids and put the emphasis on a foundation of a sound nutrition plan and solid training strategies
  • We believe in eating clean Sun – Fri and a Sat Cheat Day and will try to hold this in for you until at least 3 weeks out (TBA). Some clients will be on a carb cycling type of diet, others will not – depends on your body type.
  • we do not believe in tons and tons of cardio for our athletes – risk losing too much muscle mass - would rather you stick to the diet than cheat and make up for it with extra cardio. However, do not be disillusioned to think there will not be any cardio on this program. Our athletes have been known to do as little as 20 minutes to as much as 2x60 min/day depending on the athlete.
  • we do not believe in sodium depleting our athletes, if you are following the diet plan 100% to contest day then we will fat load you on Fri night/Sat
  • we believe in a very personal approach to contest prep - we have both been through it several times and have made enough trial and errors on our own that we don't need you to be our guinea pig - we know what will work and will outline it all for you - you won't have to think - just follow the plan.
  • We know what works for women, especially when it comes to water. Strategies that work for men do not always work for women. We are aware of these differences and have sound strategies specific to your gender.
